The Story Behind GhostStack

I’ve been part of the tech industry since 2014, starting in a help desk role and steadily growing into a software developer position. I got into coding by writing backend scripts to simplify day-to-day tasks, and that curiosity quickly turned into a real passion. One of the biggest advantages during that time was working remotely. My daughter had just turned one, and being present for those early moments meant everything.

In 2022, like many others in tech, I was laid off. With a family to support, I had to shift gears and take whatever work I could find to keep food on the table. I sent out more than 400 applications and heard back from only two companies. That was the moment I realized I couldn’t keep waiting for an opportunity to appear.

So, I decided to build my own business.

That decision is what led to the creation of GhostStack Designs, a Texas-based web design studio focused on helping small businesses succeed online. Today, I specialize in building clean, custom websites that are mobile-friendly, fast, and optimized for search engines. Every site is built with performance, SEO, and long-term growth in mind, without bloated page builders or unnecessary complexity.

My drive to support small businesses runs deep. I grew up just outside a small country town on a ranch, where mom-and-pop shops were essential to everyday life. Over the years, I’ve watched many of those businesses struggle or disappear because keeping up with the online world is hard without the right tools. GhostStack Designs exists to help level that playing field by providing affordable, purpose-built small business websites that work as hard as the people behind them.
